Chip Norton

Managing Director, Northeast Region

Chip Norton is responsible for business development and client relationships in the Northeast Region.  In his role, he also serves as a member of the Firm's Investment and Credit Committees. With over 29 years of securities business experience, Mr. Norton joined Wasmer, Schroeder & Company, Inc. in January 2009.  Prior to that, he was Managing Director of Fixed Income and Economic Analysis for Fortigent, LLC.  He has also worked for Fidelity Investments, was a member of the Investment Policy Committee at Standard & Poor's, and was Chief Investment Officer of Fixed Income with ING Mutual Funds.  He is the author of "Investing for Income," published by McGraw-Hill (1999) and the author of over 160 published articles on investing.  He has appeared on CNNFn, Good Morning America and numerous national radio shows and has been a regular speaker at national high net worth and bond conferences. 

Mr. Norton is a graduate of the University of Vermont and holds a BS in Finance.
