Douglas E. Fowler

Vice President, Portfolio Manager 

Douglas Fowler is responsible for managing the Firm's Short-Term Tax Exempt, Intermediate Tax Exempt and Strategic Tax Exempt Fixed Income styles of management.  Doug is a member of the Firm's Portfolio Management and Credit Committees where he works on the development of investment opportunities. With over 16 years of experience in the securities business, Mr. Fowler relocated from California in 2008 to join Wasmer, Schroeder & Company, Inc.  Before joining the Firm, Doug held several positions at Bank of the West in San Francisco, CA where he most recently was the Assistant Treasurer/Portfolio Manager.  As Portfolio Manager he was responsible for managing the Bank's portfolio of taxable and tax exempt fixed income positions.  Prior to that Doug established the Bank's wholesale deposit and investment group as the Director of Fixed Income Sales/Trading. 

Mr. Fowler holds a BS in Finance from University of the Pacific, and is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts and the Southern Municipal Finance Society.
