Short-Term Taxable Fixed Income Strategy
Strategy Objectives
Wasmer, Schroeder & Company, Inc. (WSC) portfolios are managed primarily for maximum income and capital preservation. Growth of principal is not a material consideration.
Portfolios are structured using corporate bonds, taxable municipals, and GSE agency debentures. The Short-Term Taxable Fixed Income (STTX) strategy emphasizes high credit quality and liquidity in order to ensure capital preservation. The target duration for STTX strategy is less than 3 years; however, many of the accounts within this strategy are customized to suit the needs of individual clients. The Strategy's primary benchmark is the Barclays Capital Treasury 1-3 Months Index and the secondary benchmark is the Barclays Capital Treasury 9-12 Months Index.
Note: This strategy is made available to WSC clients and wealth managers. Funds are typically transitory at the client's discretion, resulting in a limited number of accounts represented in this composite at any given time.
